What's Love Got To Do With It?

Rocks rock, man.

So today, I wanna talk about rocks, well more like crystals, to be exact.   "She's gone nutzo with the crystal talk."

Yes.  I did go nutzo and it's the best thing that's ever happened to me.

Let's talk a little about my favorite crystal to work with: Rose Quartz.  Rose Quartz crystals are all about the big L:  LOVE.

Rose quartz crystals just happen to keep jumping into my life.  I live in South Dakota and the state crystal is, you guessed it, Rose Quartz.  I've found rose quartz on hikes, on campus where I work, and even in tourist trap places where you fill a tiny bag with tumbled rocks.

How does one "work" with crystals?  I have yet to encorporate then into my meditation, but some people do that.  I like putting them in my bathwater and just holding one when I feel overwhelmed.  Rose Quartz helps open the heart chakra (unconditional love).  This is my favorite chakra and rose quartz reminds be to find balance, especially in my romantic pursuits.

It's also very good to "charge" your crystals under the full moon.  Seriously.  That's what I am doing in the picture above--well, actually it was the day after the full moon.  Here's a little secret for ya.  The energy the full moon creates is actually good for three days before the full moon and for three days after.  So, us interested in the metaphysical, actually have a full week to read tarot, charge crystals, write, channel . . . all that good stuff.
