My girls . . . one is Death? Love it! |
1.
Good Friends. I am so thankful for my best friend, S. She always makes me feel better and makes me laugh even though she lives 7 hours away. For example, she was the Grim Reaper this year for Halloween and she totally got into character. I was laughing so hard, I was crying! She is the best listener and I always appreciate her logical input in the face of my emotional life! My friend Mel always has a smile and a laugh. She is also wise beyond her years and is like the big sister I never had. I love her advice as it is always spot on. I miss these fantastic women every day, but I love how we can reunite as if I never left.

7 Sushi. Like, 7 Samurai. Oh. I see what you did there. Clever. |
2.
Good Food. OMG, it has been so long since I had GOOD SUSHI! S, Mel treated me to 7 Sushi on my birthday! We started with some sweet and spicy Edamame. Then we had the Seasame Street, Big Sky, Spicy Tuna, and Salmon roll. Dude. It was fantastic! Plus, we polished off a delicious bottle of "Kung Fu Girl" Riesling while giggling about boys and well . . . pretty much, just boys.

This is not from the 10/31 show . . . but it shows all the members! |

Pinky & The Floyd (local band). The highlight of my Halloween was the EPIC show put on by Bozeman local cover band "Pinky & The Floyd". This was an AMAZING show. You can tell how hard these guys and gals work at learning the songs and perfecting their grooves. I was so amazed by how well they played together because there were so many of them: a saxophonist, 2 percussionists, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, keyboards, bass and then two female vocalists. Seriously, when the played "Money" they included all the change jingle sound effects and everything! Now that is what I call an INCENDIARY live performance!

This is how I will always remember it . . . |

The love and loss of . . . a place. I fell in love with a very different Bozeman, Montana 13 years ago. It is bittersweet to say this now, but I'm not in love with it anymore. I won't go into why. It's just the overall feel of the place . . . now. But I will always remember the wonderful times I had and I will miss those beautiful mountains and the rivers that thread the Gallatin Valley as well as the people I love who still call Bozeman home. And I will still return from time to time, but with different expectations. Things change. People and places grow . . .up.

Home sweet home. |

I made the best choice. My return trip to Bozeman confirmed my decision to move to Spearfish, SD nearly three years ago. I love it here. I am happy and content. This is my home.
Love Always,
Nik
