5 Things To "Like" This Week

Whatever floats your boat.  I mean this is 'Merica after all . . .
1.  "Sister Wives" TV series.  I'll admit, I was very curious how on earth polygamy could one, be filmed legally, and two be OK for these four women?  However, after I watched the first two seasons of this show I was very moved by this family.  It is a show about a Fundamentalist Mormon family consisting of four sister wives all married to one husband, Kody.  Agree with this lifestyle or not, these people are a wonderful example of how important family is and the sacrifice involved when putting family first.  If I learned anything from the two seasons of the show, it was how this family LOVED.  There are no child brides or compounds.  It's actually the other side of polygamy (that I was never aware existed).  I would encourage you to watch it--it kinda opened my mind a bit and I LOVE when that happens.

You know what they say . . . Once you go . . . oh, never mind.
2.  "Apothic Dark" red wine.  This wine is sinful.  It's not too dry and it's also not too sweet.  It has such a velvety texture and, dare I say, a dark, dark chocolate undertone that I found so irresistible that I had two glasses.  The wine is inexpensive too . . . about $10-$12 depending on where you go.  It's limited to the Halloween season, so get some before it disappears into the shadows.  Bwaa ahhh haaa haaa!

I'm the one with the brown hair.  Incognito!
3.  Deadweird.  I wasn't planning on attending Deadweird this year because I thought I would be out of town, but I got lucky and it fell the weekend before I took my vacation.  My friend D and I met my sister there and we had a great time people watching!  Plus, we went to the Tobacco Company and saw my favorite local Deadwood jam, The Brandon Sprague Blues Band which made the night complete!

I liked unicorns way before unicorns were cool, man.
4.  "Legend" the 1985 movie.  This movie is awesome!  There is just something so magical about it.  It's a little spooky and so dark!  It is the perfect Halloween rental.  I'm not a huge Tom Cruse fan, but he's uber young in this movie, so I suppose it's OK.  Anyway, it's a great rental and the costumes are just fantastic!

I miss your beautiful face, Bozeman.
5.  Bozeman or bust!  Awwwwwwww yeah!
