That's Cheech. He lives at the office and is always very friendly! |

Spearfish Animal Hospital. I love my veterinary office. Seriously. My cat, Sophia is 14 years old. Anytime something is wrong with her, I think she is dying. I mentioned she is 14 years old, right? So, she is 80 in people years. I had to take her in this week for an emergency. I had a melt-down at the office. I could barely tell them her symptoms because I was crying so hard. Anyway, she is fine now. I feared the worst and thankfully got the best. I felt so silly when I picked her up and the vet tech saw me and ran back right away and brought her out to me (and I started crying again). She just smiled and said, "It's OK. This happens." And Sophia just pitiful meooooooowed twice and I took her silly ass home and gave her medicine.

Yes. Hook me up. |

Laughter. I really needed some this week. Whenever I am having a terrible day, I have so many people in my life who make me laugh. Thank you. I know it sounds simple, but laughter really is the best medicine. Unless you are my cat, in which case, you need an oral antibiotic administered by your mom (me) whilst you are wrapped up in a pillowcase having a freak-out.

I never go this dark! But I love it! |
3.
Gel Nails. I booked an appointment for a hair trim and a manicure this week and my stylist got me turned on to the coolest new thing in nail care. GEL NAILS. They rock! I currently have a deep maroon with a little sparkle. I love them. No chipping yet and they are my natural nails! I think I may have to keep getting this done!

Breckenridge Vanilla Porter. This beer tastes like cream soda, but it's beer!! It's amazing. Try it!

Making my own dinner. On the menu the past week? I grilled a lean pork chop on the stove with salt and pepper seasoning. Then, I chopped and boiled some potatoes. I then caramelized some yellow onion in a bit of butter, threw in some asparagus and once the potatoes where tender, I threw them in as well. Last, I minced some fresh garlic and sauteed that with the veggies and potatoes. Delish!!!
xoxo,
Nik
