5 Things To Like This Week

1.  Great Gatsby Themed Halloween Costume.  I've decided what I want to be this Halloween!  Not really anyone in particular, but I am going to have a Great Gatsby hair (maybe wig it up?), make-up, and attire theme.  Psyched!

I love how the trees go out of the painting and the brush strokes in the sky.  Love me some VG!

2.  New van Gogh painting.  My favorite artist is van Gogh and a new painting, which was originally discovered in the 70s, was just unearthed as being an original by the Dutch painter.  It is beautiful!  I love the sky!  Fake van Gogh in Attic Turns Out to be Real

3.  Cupcakes!  The university where I work has the best cafeteria!  For reals!  They always have fresh veggies and fruit and healthy stuff.  Today I decided to splurge and I had the BEST cupcake!  It was strawberry with strawberry butter cream frosting.  And there was a TON of frosting on this baby!  It looked like they just cut the corner off of a baggie and piped it on thick!  It wasn't too sugary either.  It was so yummy!  I LOVE CUPCAKES!

4.  Hiking Devil's Bathtub.  J and I were driving through the Spearfish Canyon after work and we decided to take a quick scenic detour at a hiking spot called Devil's Bathtub.  This area gets it's name because there are a ton of deep pools where people go swimming when it is really hot outside.  I wasn't too keen on doing any major hiking because I was wearing Mary Jane ballet flats and a skirt, but we went for a short walk/hike up this cool trail next to a little stream.  We even crossed a couple of times--no big deal.  I'm a pro librarian hiker!  We were being silly and throwing rocks into the stream and decided to make a rock bridge!  It was beautiful and I was reminded why I love hanging out with my favorite person in the world!

Now I'm a water bottle.

5.  Santa Cruz Organic Mango Lemonade.  This was on sale and I grabbed a bottle from the grocery store.  It was refreshing and not too sweet, plus now I use the glass bottle for water.  Score!
