5 Things To Like This Week

Fram-bwaaaa haaa haaaa!

1.  Lindeman's Framboise--Raspberry Lambic Beer.  This is the coolest beer ever!  It is made from fermented raspberries instead of hops.  It even comes with a cork stopper!  It's best served cold.  It didn't seem to have that high of an alcohol content, so I would assume it is pretty tame for anyone new to beer or who doesn't like the taste of beer to try!  WOW!  Very good!

Mine!

2.  My Morning Time.  I love my morning routine.  I have found that I need at least a half hour to ease into my day before getting ready to go to work.  I make myself some coffee with my french press and then I read.  I used to spend this time doing something called "Morning Pages" and I would like to get back into the habit of that, but for now, reading is working too!  I always find that my day starts out a lot less stressful and rushed when I take a little while for myself in the morning.

Feather not the dot.  Get it right!

3.  Indian Tacos!  These are so popular in South Dakota!  I don't remember them so much from the time I spent in Montana.  I love them!  They are basically all the taco fixings piled on top of a piece of fry bread.  So delicious!

Free as a bir . . . wait . . .entertainment center?

4.  Free furniture!  I found the coolest entertainment center for FREE.  Well, it was free because it was heavy.  Luckily, I had two strong dudes who could move it for me!  I am looking forward to this weekend when I re-finish and paint it.  Nothing is better than free, right?!  (Before and after pics to come!)

I like this.

5.  People helping people.  Hands of Light in Action has helped many people all over the world after natural disasters.  This is non-profit organization that has LOVE at it's core.  I just found this little website www.lilsoak.com that creates handmade items at reasonable prices by small artist groups.  They have some lovely stuff, plus a portion of the sales of each good will journey back to the artisan groups to help fund education, shelter, health, food and micro-loans.  You get what you give!

Love ya!
Nik
