5 Things To Like This Week

Go down these steps for good music.

1.  The Deadwood Tobacco Co.& Cigar Bar. This is a funky little bar under the sidewalk on Main Street.  It is also a high quality cigar shop with the largest walk-in humidor in the state.  It was the perfect place to enjoy good friends, beer, cigar, and live music!  You can LIKE them on FB too!

2.  Brandon Sprague on the guitar at The Deadwood Tobacco Company.  We happened to stumble upon this local guitar playing legend on Friday night in Deadwood.  He opened for BB King when he came to Deadwood . . .and oh my, this dude can play blues guitar.  

You-know-who has a big smile on her face upstairs.  Yup.  Grandma's happy.

3.  British Baby Boy!  I'm not sure why I get so excited about the British Royals, but I totally do.  I think I love these two because they are around my age and well . . . it's really like a fairy-tale.  I think Kate is so beautiful and poised and came from a common background.  I just love that.  She's my favorite.  That's all really.  I'm just happy for them.

All I can say is I'm trying.

4.  Getting Healthy & Staying Motivated.  I have to do something about being motivated to get my butt moving.  I also need to make a conscious effort to eat healthier.  I may be taking a break from beer for awhile . . . not that I won't still taste stuff to share on the blog.  Just a little less tasting maybe . . . LOL.

5.  Good friends coming to visit.  My best friend from Bozeman came to visit me this past weekend.  It was so fun!  I got to be tour guide for awhile too!  We drove through Spearfish Canyon to Roughlock Falls and then on to Deadwood.  We had drinks on the veranda at The Franklin Hotel in Deadwood and then we got down at the Deadwood Tobacco Co., & Cigar Bar.  We ate at the Lucky's 13 Pub twice (they have taps on the walls).  It was great to see S and her fiance!  I was glad to show them around my neck of the woods!
