Herb's the word. Word. |
1.
Peppermint! It cures tummy aches and headaches! Peppermint is a wonderful little herb. If you have an upset stomach, try making some double brewed peppermint tea. I like extra peppermint all the time anyway, but this double dose seems to help an upset stomach. Also, if you get headaches, get a small bottle of Peppermint essential oil and sniff the stuff occasionally. It may sound odd, but it really helps without the use of medication.

This is a pic from the 2005 show. (Not mine--I was up in the rafters!) |

The Black Crowes are coming to the Broken Spoke Saloon in Sturgis this August!!!! I saw The Black Crowes in Madison Square Garden back in 2005 and, to this day, it was the best concert I've ever seen. It was so casual and chill and music-focused (truly the way all live music should be). The guys jammed out with no huge flat screens or major production. They just had an oriental rug on the floor, their logo on a banner in the background and their instruments. Even though we were in the middle of the best venue in New York, they made the show feel really intimate. I am looking forward to getting my Sturgis/Black Crowes ON this summer!!!!

This shirt from Red Bubble. I recently purchased a bumper sticker from this website. Red Bubble is great for unique tees and hoodies too! I saw this one in a promo e-mail and it cracked me up!

Fruit Smoothies! Last night I made a strawberry, banana, pineapple, mango smoothies. I must say, they were deeeeelicious! I made them with lactose free skim milk and vanilla bean ice cream. I can't wait to go to the farmers market and make them with fresh fruit. I may also try some with lemonade and fruit for a summertime slushy. Oh yes and there might also be some rum involved . . .
