I just had a worm burger and large fries. Don't judge. |
1. Fat Robins! OK, so this morning when I was opening the library, I saw the fattest robin ever!! He/She was so cute just chillin' on the sidewalk! Spring is near . . . even if 8 inches of snow is predicted for this area by tomorrow!

Keep calm and watch Awkward. |
2.
Awkward on MTV. I got hooked on this show a couple of weekends ago when MTV was running a marathon of this show. It is awesome! It's a little like this generation's version of "My So Called Life". Plus, the main character, Jenna, writes a blog! But I kinda identify more with the quirky, older, guidance counselor, Valerie. She's actually my favorite character. Anyway, it seems a little silly because the show is on MTV . . . you know, with the whole Jersey Shore shit-show and all, but "Awkward" is really entertaining!

I still need to add more. Imma fill this cup UP! |
3.
My To-Go Coffee Mug. I bought this mug for $2 at a thrift store (it was new, but I did thoroughly clean it . . . dudes?) Anyway, I then decorated it with my collection of groovy stickers! I've got bumper stickers on my coffee mug! What a dork!

I like to make images that tell people what to do. |

Shocking and thought provoking. Watch it. |
5.
The documentary "Stevie". I was blown away by this film, directed by Steve James who also directed the documentary "Hoop Dreams". In this film, the director Steve, returns to rural Illinois after a 10 year absence to visit the troubled child, Stevie, that he mentored through the "Big Brother" program. I was disturbed by my emotional response and surprised by my investment in this film, but it prompted me to be thankful for good family and the good people out there. However, it also showed me the human dark side. I was not expecting to cry, but I did. I was saddened by how the system failed this man and how his violent upbringing eventually influenced his destructive life choices. This shit was deep, but very moving. I would highly suggest you view it. And guess what? I bet you can check it out from your library. I did! Also, please check out this wonderful review from a fellow blogger here:

PS: I find it silly that when I mention our current administration in one of my blog entries. . . I mysteriously lose Facebook likes. Hmmmm? Weird. I do try to stay objective. I digress, I try. ;-)
