Snow days!! I got two days off from work because we got 19 inches of snow over the span of 48 hours. It was a little nuts! Monday morning I was walking into work admiring the first daffodils of Spring and then that night, there was a blizzard! I've seen a lot of snow in my day, but this was a ton! The only thing to do was hunker down with the heat on, make some tea, snuggle, watch TV and read books! Love a good snow day . . . and two--now we're just spoiled!

Global Market. We have a locally owned store in Spearfish, SD called "Global Market". It is a wonderful place that smells like nag champa and has all kinds of unique world gifts and clothing items. I love this place! It's always a special treat to shop here and know that there is a store like this in my little town!

Root Beer Barrels. I love these little, yummy candies. I bought a bag of them and they satisfy my after dinner sweet craving. I wish I could find some organic ones . . . I'll let ya know if I see any!

Mental Health Care Gets $. This week it was announced that the Obama administration has allocated $235 million for mental health care into the national budget. This is HUGE. No matter how you feel about this administration, this is a giant leap for mental health care. This money would also help those with substance abuse problems stemming from mental illness. I can guarantee you that you know someone who struggles with some form of mental illness, whether it be your sister, your mom or grandpa. It's time to recognize the symptoms early and get them treated. ABC news published a great article about this. You can read it
HERE.
"President Obama is asking for $235 million as part of his new budget proposal to fund mental health initiatives. Of the funds, $130 million will be used to train teachers and others to identify signs of mental illness in students and provide them with access to treatment."

Water. Yes, water. I never drink enough. My guy friend told me how important water is to flush toxins from my body and to feel more refreshed than even drinking coffee or tea. I was skeptical, but I tried it, and dude was RIGHT. I just drank and peed and repeat, but I had energy. I need to get a good water bottle and just keep doing this. Drink water, yo!
Love ya (sorry this came late this week)!
