March: Bring It On
Daylight Savings time has arrived which means Spring is near. If you live in Montana, and have just endured about nine months of -20/blizzard/scraping your car off every-single-morning with your face wrapped in a scarf on top of a hat while wearing two sets of gloves like a crazy person--well then, BRING IT THE HELL ON!!! I cannot wait for flowers and sunshine and cold beer in the evenings. Because unlike the rest of the nation, save the Dakotas and Wyoming, we only get about a week of Spring. So get out there and enjoy it while it lasts!!
I have discovered that babysitting is now one of my favorite activities. It combines several of my favorite activities. I get to hang out with children who say the funniest things, are silly for no reason and love when I am silly too. They have lots of energy, enjoy being read to, and like talking about candy, animals, and toys. I get paid to play Candy Land and eat cheddar goldfish. This is my dream job . . .
I've deleted my personal Facebook account. If you're reading this and are wondering why I deleted you from my friend list, I didn't. I just deleted Facebook. I'm not an elitist, I'm just weird like that. I still have my blog FB page, and that's just right for me.
Oh, guess what? According to mainstreet.com, my Montana town is the 5th Drunkest City in the nation. I am not proud of this. However, it makes sense. Shit, if you've read my blog, you know I like to drink . . . no wonder, right? But seriously, for awhile there I was drinking way too much. It was just too easy. So, at least there is a little bit of an explanation as to why. Don't get me wrong though. There is a huge difference between an explanation and an excuse. I'm glad that phase is over. Truthfully though, the bars just blow . . . unless you are a trust fund hipster, moronic college student, or too-old-to-be-out-anyway (me). LOL. No really, I think my bar days are over and I am awesomely OK with that.
On another note . . .Something I am NOT OK with . . . Tsunamis. Help if you can: http://www.unicefusa.org
On to April,
Nik

Cold weather shouldn't prevent you from enjoying a cold beer, in fact, nothing should prevent you from enjoying a cold beer except a lack of cold beer.
Hope you enjoy your week of spring, who knows, maybe the weather will cooperate and you'll get a 10 day spring this year.
I'm strangely disappointed that Denver didn't make the 10 drunkest list. I just assumed with all the breweries we'd be up there somewhere. Although, when consuming high-powered craft brews, it only takes a few to get drunk, so maybe our binge drinking percentile was skewed. Oh well, there's always next year.
As for the bars, do you ever go to the Hide-a-Way lounge next to Pork Chop Johns? 8 years ago it was a very low-key, relaxed atmosphere free of most collegiate douchebaggery, might be worth a visit.
Hope all is well in Bozeman.
P.S., I'm glad you still have your blog's fb page, your profile photo is awesome when the post above it is just someone's head. It makes it look like whoever's profile head is wearing a dress and enkoying some tea.
Have fun. Be young. Drink Pepsi.
Its the choice of a new generation.
Adam: The awesomeness of your comments never cease to amaze me. I agree about the Denver beer drinking scene--from your personal experience, of course--I trust your keen sense of beer consumption.
Also, PCJ up here in Bozeman went out of business!!! Can you believe it? It is now Madison River Burgers. Yes. That is the name. However, despite this overly Bozemanite cliched name . . . it's pretty much the same place, and yes, that bar is pretty cool and not so lame. Perhaps I should have specified "downtown". Lame-o!
In conclusion, it IS hard to drink tea headless . . . but it can be done with the proper skilzzzzz.
Later gator!!! And MISS YOU DUDE!!!!!
Oh! Oh!! Drive By Truckers have a new song/CD out! Kinda different . . . but I like it.
And I just added the new track to my playlist over there on the right . . .
Sing it to those two lovely ladies in your life!!!! :-)
