- ORANGE and BLACK anything.
- Witch hats, goblins, spider webs, fairy wings, and fishnet stockings.
- Scary movies marathons on tv.
- Scarves, scarves, scarves.
- Kids in costumes, especially tutus and superhero capes!!
- The smell of wood stoves and smoke in the air at night with the full moon shining through the trees.
- Costume creating, asking kids at work what they are going to be while checking out their Halloween books.
- PUMPKINS. Carving them . . . the smell of the pumpkin guts. Lighting the tea light inside a freshly carved pumpkin and squealing as the creation comes to life.
- Roasted, salted pumpkin seeds (without the shell please).
- Caaaaandy . . . OK, I have a confession. I don’t like candy corn. I should like candy corn because it is, essentially, the candy of Halloween, but I don’t. I think it is waxy, too sugary, and way gross. But I love just about everything else: Smarties, peanut butter cups, and chocolate anything. I seriously wish it was cool for me to trick-or-treat . . .
- But instead of trick-or-treating, I suppose, I shall . . . PARTY!!!!! My birthday is November 1st. So when the clock strikes midnight on Halloween . . . it’s ur girl’s birthday! I hope to have good friends surrounding me, rum in my hand, and good music filling my ears
Nik
