5 Things To Like This Week

Oh deer!
1.  Embroidery.  My grandmother taught me how to embroider and it is still one of my favorite crafts.  I like it over cross stitch because there is a freestyle to the technique that I really dig.  Anyway, I am working on some pillows and maybe some dish towels for the Etsy and Storenvy shop.  Stay tuned!

Smooth moves
2.  Smoothies.  I love to make a good mix of fruit and blend it all up.  It's like making a nutritional potion!  My favorite is peach, raspberry, strawberry, banana mixed with a little sparking water.  YUM!  I like to transport it to work in a large mason jar with a straw.  Easy breakfast!

3.  Taking walk breaks.  At the library where I work I am surrounded by people.  Don't get me wrong, I love people, but sometimes it gets a little overwhelming.  That's why I take quick, ten minute walks around and out in nature.  I like to look for cool rocks or sticks to bring back to my office too!

4.  Classic Rock Live.  On Sunday evenings our local radio station picks up a syndicated version of Classic Rock Live.  I love this program.  This weekend I heard Springsteen and David Gilmore all live--all in one show.  It makes the end of my week divine.  I just love live music.

MY MOM is the best cook!
5.  My Mom's cooking.  My mom brought her famous frozen meals and stocked my freezer last weekend.  I love her home cooking.  She brought a ton of soup and frozen casseroles.  I've already had some potato soup that was divine!  I really don't do that much cooking myself, so it is a real treat when she brings me her stuff!

xoxo,
Nik
