Symbols of the West. This is a new band that I discovered when perusing the
Music Villa website. The band consists of two members, Lauren Stark and Nat Kendall (former emcee of Eightrack Mind). I really dig SOTW's song, "
Save My City". This band is so chill. You can now order their album, "A Thousand Lights" is available for download on iTunes. Click
HERE to check it out!!

Don't tell lies kids. |
4. Silly and
Disturbing Children's books like this: One of my work study students found this in our collection this week. The title really is: "Matilda Who Told Lies and Was Burned to Death". Needless to say, it is a little disturbing. Basically, Matilda lies and cries wolf a lot. Then when everyone is away from the house one night, there is a fire. Matilda is stuck in the house and dies. The end. The last page of the CHILDREN'S book shows a tombstone with Matilda's name on it. Wow. Talk about nightmares.
