5 Things to Like This Week

How many loafs for rent this month?!
1.  Lemon Bread.  My boss at the liquor store also has a dog/cat grooming business and she offered to groom Sophia for free.  Sophia has really long, pretty fur, but she is getting older and it is matting really bad on her chest and tummy.  I used to be able to brush the mats out, but this time they were just too close to her little kitty skin.  So when my boss offered to help, I jumped at the chance.  It only took about 10 minutes because her mats weren't that bad.  Anyway, for helping me out, I made her a loaf of lemon bread!  I kinda wish I could pay my rent in lemon bread sometimes . . .  LOL!

This is not how I look when I sleep.  Plus, I'm not a fairy.  I just wish I was.
2.  Getting Enough Sleep.  I love to sleep, but sometimes I get so busy that I don't get a lot of it and I get a little off kilter.  This week, I've been trying to get at least 7 hours a night.  It is so hard when I work until 10pm some nights.  I literally have to force myself to make some tea and chill out.  I have to make sleep a priority for my health and the safety of those around me . . . haaaa!  Just kidding!

Just ignore that bear on the Celestial Seasonings box . . . Nikki.
3.  Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Vanilla + Peppermint tea.  To make my tea extra tasty at night, I usually use two tea bags.  I like to fiddle with the taste to make my own blend.  I've found that these two together make the perfect, minty and creamy combo.  I love the CS Sleepytime Vanilla and I also found a really inexpensive peppermint tea (under $1) to mix with it.  Hmmmm lovely!

Can't you tell?
4.  Making Lists.  I make a ton of lists.  I have to do this to keep my life organized.  I always have my "list notebook" with me.  It's kinda like the archaic version of Pintrest.  I have a "to do" list, a "wants" list, an "idea list", and my grocery list.  Then I have a small pocket planner with my work schedules on it.  I like being busy.  I'm not sure what I would do without my lists.  I have now successfully added a list to this list.  Whoa!  That's kinda blowing my mind right now.  :-)

Don't judge.
5.  Guilty Pleasures . . . like, listening to my Kanye West playlist on Grooveshark (even though I know he is a toolshed, he still makes fantastic music), Dominos pizza (spinach and feta-this is healthy, right?), Avon (but I need that nail polish!), smoking (WHAT?!  It is very hard to quit!), and reading health related magazines and daydreaming about not smoking and going to the gym on  regular basis (I digress . . .WHAT?!).

Love ya,
Nik
