1. Shock Top End of the World Midnight Wheat beer. I seriously love wheat beer! This stuff is delicious with cocoa, spice and chili. This beer makes me smile more than well . . . most! It's really good stuff and I wouldn't mind it being my last drink, you know, if the world ends and stuff . . .
2. Three Bird Nest (online Etsy store). I love my new boot socks (above) from this online shop! They are so pretty and girly! I wear them with my slouchy brown boots and tights. I love the layering effect. I ordered a cute knit cap too! Please support small online businesses this Holiday season!
3. "Gone With The Wind". So, the other night I watched one of my favorite movies, "Cold Mountain". Once it was over, I was flipping through the channels and came across the beginning of "Gone With The Wind" on AMC (no commercials!). It was a Civil War movie kind of night. It was awesome! I forgot how much I loved Clark Gable as Rhett Butler. This is my grandmother's favorite movie and I can see why! I stayed up late and watched the whole thing (and guess what? When I talked to her on Thanksgiving day, she said she watched it that night too, which made it even more special!!). Such a classic movie! Love it!
4. Snowplows. Yup. Snowplows. When I lived in Montana, the biggest adjustment I had to make in the winter was the lack of any snowplowing. Seriously. It could snow for days and if you didn't live on a main road, you were screwed, or you were shoveling for hours. I looooove the snowplows here. Yesterday, it barely snowed and they were out in full force. It made me smile. It's funny the things you take for granted . . .
5. Good, old friends and my sister. My sister and I hung out with my bestest buds from High School this Thanksgiving! It was funny, because she is 7 years younger than me and grew bored with our listening to music on vinyl, and reminiscing about skateboarding, sprinklers, and people. . . but she was still a good sport! Hey, there was beer! Look, I even grew a beard for the occasion! Enjoy!
Many Thanks This Week,
Nik
