. . . Rock & Roll is Patriotic . . .

. . . Even If It's Austrailian

First of all, happy 4th of July!  And what could be more American, than a blog written about a little Austrailian band called AC/DC?  How about I add that this post is actually about how AC/DC, specifically the "Back in Black" album, is the best road trippin' music ever.  Songs about drinking, getting it on, and sweet ass guitar solos . . . How patriotic is that?

Now I am aware that "Back in Black" is probably AC/DC's most commercial album, but it still can't be beat for driving.  The track list is ideal.  This past weekend, I had to drive 6 hours to get from Montana to Wyoming to be in my sister's wedding.  As I have stated several times before, I love driving.

About three hours in, I will throw "Back in Black" in my CD player and BAM . . . "Hells Bells" are ringing in my ears, then blazing right into my favorite track number 2: "Shoot to Thrill" with it's killer guitar solo.  Track 7 "You Shook Me All Night Long" is the crescendo of awesomeness on this album--"She kept her motor clean/She was the best damn woman that I've ever seen".  That song is a classic.  I only have to hear the first couple of cords to this song, and no matter where I am, I can't stop myself from screaming, "I love AC/DC and I love this song!"  After 2 more songs AC/DC ends with one final and very importantnt reminder (to all you middle men out there):

"Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution . . . It's just rock and roll."

On that note, the wedding was beautiful and awesome, plus the last song of the night was "You Shook Me All Night Long".  It was the perfect way to end the evening:  AC/DC and my whole family rocking out on the dance floor.

Hell Yeah,
Nik

Love that you included actual photos of yourself. As I was reading, I was getting nostalgic for a road-trip with some sweet rock and roll blasting - no wonder my hearing is going. Oh well!
