Librarian Problems. This Tumbler has me cracking up. I'm starting to like it more than Facebook.

I always love how put together Coretta looks in photos.
Glamorous, even while marching. |

MLK photos. Monday was my second favorite holiday (next to Halloween). Monday was Martin Luther King, Jr. day! Anyway, I saw this wonderful article about this guy, Bob Adelman, who spent a decade documenting the civil rights movement as a photojournalist. My favorite part of the interview he gave was when asked, "What drove you to document the civil rights movement?" and Adelman said PATRIOTISM. He goes on to say, "These were our brothers and sisters who were being mistreated. I thought that the race question was the biggest unsolved problem of America. So that's why I say it was patriotism." Well, thank you Bob. You make me proud to be an American.

Not "those" kind of brownies. |
3.
Good, old fashioned brownies. I tried to make brownies without eggs or vanilla this weekend. I thought, "Hey, vegans do this . . . and I am too lazy to run to the store." So, I looked up egg and vanilla substitutes. The vanilla substitute called for flavored alcohol. That was fine. I had that. But the egg substitute was a pulsed banana. No big deal. Naw. The brownies turned out fine, but they tasted more like chocolate banana bread than anything else. Good thing I made some yummy frosting to go on them . . . next time I'm just going to make good old fashioned brownies!

I'm not using that diaper coupon, but somebody should! |
4.
Coupon Fairy. I'm not an extreme couponer and I don't have stockpile closet or anything, but I do save a little each month by clipping coupons. I make my grocery list and then I clip what I need. Then . . . I go through all the fliers again and clip out coupons for my sister (who just had a baby) and my mom. Then I write them a quick note, throw a stamp on the envelope and stick it in the mail. I can't send cash gifts, but I can cut out coupons!

I want my baby back, baby back, baby back ribs. |

New Pharaoh and a New Dynasty discovered! This is big because not only did Egyptologists find a new person (literally) they also found new information that will shed light on an entire era! To an Ancient Egyptian Civilization freak like myself, this is a really big deal.
Love,
Nik
