Looking back on JANUARY:
Doing something and nothing at the same time is OK.
Doing something and nothing at the same time is OK.
Sometimes it's OK to do nothing, like relaxing and watching/singing along/reciting every word to "Beauty and the Beast" instead of cleaning your apartment or doing laundry on your day off.
"We can sing! We can dance! After all Miss, this is France!!!"
I cannot sing.
I'm sure my neighbors appreciated this.
Remember: Do not freak out. Flipping off your car is not "freaking out" and is actually warranted in these situations. In fact, do it twice, then call Triple A.
Dwelling on what other people have and what I do not have uses
so much negative energy that it causes me to get nothing done--
NOT healthy and NOT attractive.
so much negative energy that it causes me to get nothing done--
NOT healthy and NOT attractive.
And then there are times when you just have to do something.
I am a blog activist. Sorry if it seems like preaching.
Still, please, don't buy diamonds.
Ummm. Listening to Sting CD's while cleaning or driving is kinda like doing yoga.
Ya huh!
Kinda!
What?
It's relaxing. I heart Sting.
((Stop laughing.))
On a sad note, my heart is breaking for my beloved Egypt right now.
Poor Zahi Hawass at the Cairo Museum and the ancient mummies that were destroyed . . .
and all those oppressed people who've lived in terrible economic conditions under a grossly corrupt government for the past 30 years.
I pray that this ends soon--and that the looters leave the artifacts
(that represent their own regal heritage)
THE HELL ALONE.
What a sad, sad ending to the month of January.
Finally, letting things go is good. It's the epitome of doing something and nothing at the same time.
A little paradox, if you will.
I just have to let go . . . of the tangible and the intangible stuff that brings me down. It is healthy.
Whooooosh. Just let it go.
On that note, Facebook is once again pissing me off. It's bringing me nothing but bad news.
I have resolved to log on only once a week.
Now I just have to find SOMETHING to do with all that time I spent doing NOTHING at all.
Love ya,
Nik

I am the best at doing nothing at all. DOn't try to challenge me in that dept. In fact, I played hooky from work today! Hah.
Oh my gosh...thank you so much for telling people NOT to buy diamonds. My mom and I are strong believers in not buying diamonds (like we could even afford them). After seeing the movie "Blood Diamond" and learning more about what goes on, I'm sorry...but I don't care how big the bling...it's not worth a human life and will never touch my finger.
Love your blog and thank you so much for your sweet comment on mine :) Look forward to reading much more from you!!!!
EQ: Glad to hear you are chillaxin' chica! Everyone needs a day to do nothing and something at the same time!
Nicole: I am so glad to appreciate the no diamonds "preaching"! Can't wait to read more from you too!!
