My List of 8's
8 Things I'm Looking Forward To:
- The Magic City Blues Festival
- My Nephew's 4th Birthday party in September!
- My thirtieth . . . Can you say VEGAS? Wanna come?
- The weekend. Always workin' for the weekend.
- Falling in love again. I love the butterflies and the perma-smile that comes with the early stages of meeting someone new.
- Dinner and drinks with my girls tomorrow night.
- The next really good book I read.
- More sunny, summer days . . .
- Worked at the Library.
- E-mailed my mom.
- Went grocery shopping.
- Had dinner and drinks at a friend's house.
- Re-connected with an old friend.
- Watched the movie "Valentine's Day".
- Checked my Facebook.
- Drank peppermint tea.
- Sing--and not just karaoke after I've had a few too many shots and "Back in Black" suddenly becomes my "faaaavorite song".
- Control how much I blush when I think a guy is cute. I hate that! It totally blows my "ya whatever" cover!
- Drive really, really fast without getting caught . . . in an all black, 1969 Chevy Camaro.
- Travel abroad. Specifically to Egypt--maybe once the world calms down a little.
- Live somewhere warm during the Montana winter.
- Make a budget and stick to it.
- Give Barack Obama, Johnny Depp, and Bono a kiss on the cheek, simply for their loveliness.
- Jump out of an airplane. If I did it, I might get addicted.
- Listening to people's stories.
- I know music. Pretty much every kind--but especially the live kind and the freakin' good kind.
- I write from my heart. But is it done well? I think that is relative . . . I'm no grammarian. I just put it out there and if you like it, awesome. If not, that's cool too.
- I make good tea, salsa, quiche, tofu (don't knock it until you've tried mine--really!), burritos, cupcakes, soft sugar cookies, breakfast sandwiches, and popcorn balls (huh huh I just wrote "balls").
- Driving. I haven't had a moving violation in nine years (knock on wood). This makes for a very nice insurance premium.
- Kids. Children crack me up! Probably because I am a huge one myself. The thing I love most about children is their honesty and their openness.
- Being able to let loose and chill every once and awhile. I like to let my hair down and have a good time.
- LOVE. I am passionate about many things . . .and being love is the "end all be all" of 'em.
Love,
Nik
